Research & Development

To build a first of its kind Research and Development facility in Kolkata (West Bengal) with a focus to develop both generic and branded pharmaceutical products to be approved by the U.S. FDA, the European Regulatory Authority (EMEA) and Rest of the World (ROW) through WHO and the domestic Indian market. The purpose of this facility, in addition to the development and eventual manufacture of Specialty Pharmaceutical Products, shall be to provide for practical and technical industry experience for Graduate (PhD/Masters) students, supporting their educational development as well as enhancing the University's offerings. By providing a supportive and experience enhancing environment, Anima seeks to provide benefits to the local student while closing the gap between Academia and the Industry.

Generic Pharmaceuticals: Anima is committed to developing a pipeline of high-quality generic products with limited competition by virtue of the technologically challenging formulae and processes and therapeutic areas, i.e. oncology. Under the guidance of highly industry experienced professionals, these products will also benefit from the technical experience and University collaboration and will give the potential for students to see their development become a real commercial entity.

Branded Pharmaceuticals: Anima's branded product offerings will include proprietary niche products utilizing alternative delivery technologies and other new dosage forms. With our highly experienced staff we can bring these products to market faster and more efficiently and can work together with resources and technology available to a University to co-develop/author patents and publications.

Strategic partnerships are an important component of Anima's growth strategy. Our R&D activities will be performed in collaboration/partnership with Universities and private laboratories in Kolkata and other parts of India.
